About Event

Event description

The Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) profoundly change our professional and private lives. The IoT enables managing physical environments with software. Artificial Intelligence (AI) or more precisely Machine Learning enables new ways of processing data and identifying or predicting their development. The international winter school on "IoT meets AI" gathers lecturers from academia and industry to teach on the overlaps of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), discuss current challenges and mutually develop new ideas. Tutorials and workshops will be on topics such as IoT device integration, adaptation and interoperability, semantic technologies, IoT orchestration, data analytics and machine learning. Also The target audience of this winter school are students, researchers, developers and practitioners who are interested in acquiring knowledge and experience on IoT and the application of AI in this context. and cybersecurity and IoT.

About the Hackathon:

The target audience of this winter school are students, researchers, developers and practitioners who are interested in acquiring knowledge and experience on IoT and the application of AI in this context. In order to be capable of taking part in the hands-on Hackathon and contributing to team projects, knowledge on IoT and AI are required. Please note that you need to bring your own equipment.
The participants will be challenged to engage and apply the learned methods and technologies in team projects. In fun and intensive hands-on sessions participants get together in small teams (3-4 people) to develop innovate solutions for challenges defined in the beginning of the winter school. Industrial and academics will support the students in developing their solutions.
All participants are given a chance to present their current work as on the last day.
The hackathon will be run in parallel track for the tutorials and workshops.
Agenda:
The HACKATHON will start on friday 28th February at 2pm and will stop on sunday 1st March after 48 hours at 2pm

About Freeways

Freeways is an Open Source and Free Software Club in the Higher Institute of Computer Science (“Institut Supérieur d’Informatique“). Our club was founded in January of 2004 and since then it has worked tirelessly to reunite and engage all of the students that are fascinated with the concept of free software and all new technologies. Freeways started off as a simple club, but thanks to the efforts of all Freeways members across multiple Universities, it became an Association in 2014.
